Naval Hospital Bremerton JAG recognized by Kitsap County Bar Association

The Outstanding Navy Legal Professional Award was presented by the Kitsap County Bar Association to Lt. Timothy J. Donahue, Judge Advocate General Corps, on May 5, 2017. The award noted that his service assigned to Naval Hospital Bremerton (NHB) as a naval officer and judge advocate was ‘marked by outstanding leadership, community involvement and legal expertise worthy of special recognition. Displaying extraordinary dedication and determination as the staff judge advocate for NHB, he provided sage legal advice on complex investigations, military justice matters, and medical legal issues. His commitment to legal excellence has left an enduring legacy throughout the Pacific Northwest Community.’ Donahue was assigned from April 2016 to May 2017 at NHB and his judicial knowledge and insight helped to process and mitigate claims against the U.S. government which ultimately saved $63 million. Additionally, he coordinated sexual assault regional support and reporting requirements which optimized care for all command assault victims.
